8 G.R.I.N.D (Get Ready Its A New Day) → Asher Roth
I want to say that this is the only video I found that had a majority of the song without anyone coming in randomly with commentary - so either ignore the boobs or maybe you like them. IDGAF.
Now, is anyone tired of seeing Asher Roth? Yes? Think he’s hyped up? Well, spierdalaj. Roth has been around for a while - and I’ve been following since I Love College. It may be as overplayed as California Gurls, but I can’t get enough of it.
Mainly because I’m living vicariously through it. I go to a party school and they’ve been lacking in that department.
But anyway, G.R.I.N.D just happens to be one of those tracks that’ll put anyone in high spirits - with its inspirational lyrics and catchy beat. Yes, I said catchy.
Roth makes an aside to the listener toward the end of the song. I don’t want to dissect it for more than it is - but if you take anything from it, just remember this: Happiness is not about getting what you want all the time, it’s about loving what you have.
Definitely a must-listen.
